  "St Lucia is a beautiful island, very green and very hot, we have just returned from 2 weeks.. People are happy, smiley and friendly....Smugglers Cove is a lovely resort, a little tired if you look closely, however staff work hard to keep everywhere clean and tidy. 2 adult pools, 1 with swim up bar..." over looking the Caribbean Ocean, stunning!.. 3kids pools, all near to bars and toilets. Food was excellant, choice of The Cove buffet restaurant which is open all meal times allowing casual dress and also, Italian, Asian and Waterfront restaurants which require long trousers and smart dress. We had a lovely chalet very near to reception, ample space, clean and tidy, maids changed linen every other day, fridge in room and air con. Lots to see of the Island, we went Whale and Dolphin watching and were lucky enough to see many types of dolphins, turtles and jumping fish, the Pitons , Mud bathes and Castres are a must, do a boat trip...well worth the money, lots of Rum Punch.   "We stayed at this resort for eight nights at the end of April. My wife and I plus another couple had stayed there in 1988 when it was called Club St Lucia, and we were also accompanied by a third couple making their first visit to the Caribbean. Our room was basic but clean and comfortable, and the minimal ant invasion did not cause us any inconvenience. All of the restaurants served a wide range of delicious food and we all enjoyed every single meal. The bar staff were particularly attentive, and I must applaud Sarfraz in the swim up bar who created a great atmosphere one afternoon, on his 'you must dance in the water'insistence in order to get a drink. I found it amazing that one reviewer was offended by the cats and birds who were foraging for food, how narrow minded was that!
