Our room was a split level room (duplex), novelty for the children and very very warm. We were on the side of the hotel looking up the road and the slopes and didn't have any noise problems at all.   "I've stayed in the Roc a couple of times now and I really love the place! The guys who run it and work there are so friendly and helpful and full of great advice no matter what your plans are. Without a doubt this is the best value hotel in Soldeu. During ski high season most of the hotels are prett..."y pricy, even the basic places. The Roc is a little bit further down the road from the telecabine so I guess this is why it's always cheaper. However don't let that put you off as they will drive you up to the telecabine in the morning so you don't have to drag all your stuff up the hill. The walk back is only 10mins and it's all downhill so not a problem. The rooms are basic but have everything you need, the decor is more modern than a lot of other ski hotels I've stayed in in the Pyrenees. Warm and plenty of hot water so no problems.   "This is rated as a 2*star hotel which is a crazy! The hotel is very very good, but is rated 2 star I guess because the rooms are quite small and the hotel has no fancy facilities like Gym, Spa or pool. Other than that its 4*star all the way. We stayed a week on 1/2 board and the choice, service an..."d food quality was very good. We were not tempted to eat out at all. Another couple told us they had stayed earlier in the year at a fancy 4*star down the road, but that the food was very so-so, so they ate at the Bruxelles a couple of times and really thought the food was much better. As a result on the second trip they stayed at the Bruxellesfor 1/2 the price and better food! Despite the bedrooms being small and simple they were very well cleaned and serviced every day. The staff were all very friendly, courteous and fun. The restaurant and bar ares were nice, with a popular outside terrace, which we used a lot as we had a very sunny week.
