  "We came across this vandrarhem in the svif brochure and what good fortune! The trip up to Björkfors (from southern direction) was already breathtaking. We drove 30k/hr less because we didnt wanna miss a thing (sights and animals such as deer and birds of prey). The vandrarhem sits in a small village...". Main amenities (supermarket and restaurants) are a - breathtakingly beautifull - 15min drive away in the town of Kinda. The vandrarhem offers basic services, shared bathroom and toilets in the hallway. We werent that thrilled about the waterpressure of the shower though. The kitchen and shared livingroom are spacious and well equipped. As we were there out-of-season we didnt have the benefit of organised tours, canoeing trips or bonfires. But we could well imagine the warm atmosphere of the place in summertime. As we spend only two nights in björkfors we have just seen a glimpse of the forrested surroundings but we just might be back for seconds ... " More >

  "We stayed in this hostel with our two small children and thought it was fantastic! The location was amazing, very close to the lakes surrounded by trees and in a gorgeous little village with very friendly people! We hired canoes and bikes which were very reasonable and we had a brilliant time thanks..." to the free advice on where to go, safety etc from the owners! The rooms were very clean and comfortable with a very well equipped kitchen downstairs. The garden was enormous with lovely forest and lake walks nearby. Breakfast can be bought as extra and looked delicious although we made our own as on a tight budget!!! Sweden is a gorgeous country and i don't think you could get much better value for money in such a superb setting. There are not too many buses to the bigger towns nearby so you may need to be prepared travel when they go which may not be at the right times!!! Definitely reccommend it and the owners were very helpful and knowledgable!!! " More >
