  "It's the age old 'catch 22' - if I rave about it other people will find it, and I want it to be my secret! Pasithea is a family run hotel on the beautiful island of Folegrandos. Perhaps not for everyone as the whole island is quiet but this suited us perfectly. Pasithea is in a small bay with a lo..."vely beach, there are 4 tavernas but only 1 was open when we visited (May). The season starts properly around June I think? from our room (16) we could hear the sea and nothing else, so relaxing and peaceful. Our balcony looked out over the beach and had the sun until around 3pm. There is another beach about a 20 min walk around the corner which had shade from trees and lovely swimming conditions- if there is a north wind the sea by the hotel might be a bit rough for children? We hired a car, around 25 euros a day depending on the season which was ideal. The main centre (Chora -pronounced 'Hora') is only a 5 min drive away and is the best place to spend the evening. Even before arriving we were extremely impressed with the personalized help provided by Cornelia, in helping us find the best ferry service. Throughout our stay we were ..."treated with warmth and professionalism by the entire family and the dedicated and hard working staff. The entire facility is a jewel, and maintained to perfection. The chef made delicious breakfasts and dinners, which we enjoyed while looking out across the sea. We loved our long hikes all over the island, to secluded beaches, returning to the comfort of Anemomilos in the late afternoon, to enjoy a glass of wine on our private terrace.
