A light-rail ride (north)west to the Hague, the Royal Palace, the Parliament, the International Court of Justice (Peace Palace), Madurodam, Scheveningen and its beach, etc. is less than half an hour.   "Why would you stay anywhere else"
  "I have been here for two weeks with another two to go and I really couldn't see why you would stay anywhere else in Delft. I looked at all the hotels, but the rooms all seemed rather depressing, with nowhere to relax apart from a chair or bed, not somewhere I would really wish to stay for more than ..."a night or two. This accommodation is effectively a small light and airy flat, very well decorated in the Delft blue style with a separate lounge and kitchen area that has a microwave and refrigerator. If you wish, there is a supermarket just around the corner which has a good selection of microwave meals for a simple dinner. However, with the breakfasts that Doreen provides plus a reasonable lunch, I find that a very light meal of bread, meat and cheese in the evening is all I need. The flat is in a very quite area and so handy to all the attractions that Delft has to offer.   "My wife and I recently stayed here two nights and used the hotel as a base to tour Delft, Rotterdam and The Hague. A charming small hotel with great service and a wonderful breakfast. The train is within walking distance although it may be a bit far for some people who have limited abilities. If ..."I recall, the cost of a round trip train ticket to Rotterdam was under 7 euros making it far easier to stay here that move hotels. Parking at the Market garage seemed very secure and well lit. Again, a little bit of a walk - maybe 5 minutes but easy and reasonably priced. Overall we couldn't have asked for better, especially at the price. If we return to Delft, it will certainly be at the top of our list to stay here again. If you stay in Delft, a restaurant worth checking out is de Kromme. A limited menu, but the food was fantastic as was the service - and all for 25euro for a 3 course fixed price meal. " More >
