  "Arrived for 1 night before starting the glacial express train journey. It is off season so it appears that most of St Moritz is closed for the duration. The hotel was a great place to stay. You should arrange for a pick up from the train station by the hotel courtesy bus. They can also take you back..." to the station if you book. The room was comfortable and large although a little hot - we had a suite and enjoyed a view of the mountain that was still partly covered with snow. The only down part for this hotel was the total lack of places to enjoy a pre dinner drink as the only bar open was a small and totally smoke soaked room at the front of the hotel. Even the next day when we went past the open smokers room the stench was awful. Instead of this we traversed the street to a more welcoming bar that catered for non smokers inside. Through the hotel, one can purchase a daily ski pass for only 25€ (with a 6 day minimum). There is a nice pool, sauna and jacuzzi which are most welcome after a day of skiing. Attending a reunion of high school friends, I booked a single room and was pleasantly surprised as mine was recently renovated. It was lovely with oak floors, oak paneling and a small deck.
