  "The reviews that knock this hotel are unfair. It is a very attractive building (Provencal seigneurial large manor house) in a tiny "hameau" (town) of similar golden stone buildings just 4 kilometers outside of lovely Uzes. It is a three star hotel mot a five star Relais & Chateau place. There is ..."lovely large "parc" with a large swimming pool and tennis courts. The staff is young and from the "region". They are helpful, polite and willing. We booked before I read the panning reviews. Was quite worried after I read them and was pleasantly surprised to find that the place was just as I expected. If people are looking for a luxury hotel, they should rent in one and pay luxury prices. This place is no more and no less than it claims to be: A grand old house in a lovely environment with the quality it advertises. Breakfast was a highlight, Gwilym makes the most scrumptuous muffins or cakes every morning, accompanied by fruit compotes, fruit salads, freshly squeezed juices, fresh breads and jams.
