  "Really enjoyed our time at this quaint little hotel. Nothing to complain about except our time was too short there. Make sure, if you get the chance to pop out to the light show which was out of this world. Will certainly be heading back to this hotel. "

  "As others have mentioned, actually getting to this hotel is a little tricky by car. A satnav struggles to find it, and we went round the block before spotting its location opposite the railway station. In fact, we couldn't identify a good place to pull up, so parked up in one of the short term parki..."ng places in the station, and one of us walked across the busy road to get more details. On a positive note, we were emailed the day before our visit asking if we wanted to reserve a parking space (at 5 euros a day), which we accepted. The difficulty was seeing where the hotel's spaces were, as the hotel sits amongst a terrace of untidy looking food outlets, and looks rundown from the outside. Once inside at reception, and having been asked to confirm our arrival time the day before by email.....there was nobody on reception.....after waiting for several minutes, we had to use our UK mobile (at overseas price rates) to call the hotel, and finally someone came down.   "We stayed two nights while visiting Chartres. We had some things we needed to take care of, but lack fluency in French. Laurence, at the front desk was a doll! She made calls for us and took care of us with kindness. Thank you Laurence! The first night, we had a suite, and the second we had a fami..."ly room. Both were nice. The family room was decorated in more toile than I've ever seen in one location...and stripes on the opposite wall...very circus-like...cheerful and sweet. The bar looked very inviting with live jazz music playing...but we didn't get a drink due to the fact we had our son with us. Also, don't worry about parking. You just pull up on the side street and let them know you've arrived, my husband just waited in the car while I went in, then they help you with your bags and valet your car...at no additional charge.
