  "We stayed at Newlands for one night while touring Ireland. We felt welcome and the B&B is clean with all the little touches to make our stay more comfortable. Mariad and Jim friendly and accomodating - Jim even drove us to town in the evening. Breakfast was delicious. Would return."

  "The Hibernian Hotel is ideally located for visiting Kilkenny. It is right across from the street from the castle and ideally situated for shops, pubs, clubs and restaurants. We had dinner here and we were greatly impressed by the beautiful food, it's presentation, the atmosphere and the service wit..."h which it was delivered. The breakfast was of equally good quality. The only problem with our stay is the noise from outside the hotel at night. The Hotel being so central and close to pubs and clubs is one of the reasons for this and also the street cleaning machines that start at about 4 am. As a seasoned traveler I always have a set of ear plugs on stand by which were the solution to the only negative side of the stay. Also our room as at the front of the Hotel and possibly one towards the back would be quieter. " More >

I feel that it is most important to give feed back on such a wonderful hotel as this one. it was welcoming warm, homely fabulous food and most of all very clean. I go to kilkenny every year and I will never stay in any other hotel ..."in the city other than the Hibernian. Well done to all who work so hard to run such a fabulous hotel.
