The wine list varied from very affordable, at £17 a bottle through to around £80. We opted for somewhere in the middle and we were not dissapointed.   "Like an earlier reviewer, we stayed in room 108. We did pay an extra £30/night over and above the Travelzoo offer price for this room although at check in, we were advised that we had been given an upgraded room! Shame they didn't refund the extra charge!! Room was an excellent size with excellent ..."large bed but no view of the gardens at all. Bathroom as described previously was first class. Small niggles about the room were poor lighting for putting on make-up, it was rather dark with windows that did not open as they had been painted shut, and no full length mirror. As my wife commented, the room had obviously been designed by a man!! No comment from me who thought the room was most acceptable. Delightful dining room with beautiful wood panelling and lighting. in fact, probably one of the most beautiful dining rooms we have experienced. Food was superb from a fairly limited menu. I was then redirected to the Wood Norton Hotel, where I liaised with Tracey in order to find the best option. I chose the Hall Queen (Deluxe) however on arrival we were u..."pgraded to the Hall Feature (Luxury) which was out of this world! Breakfast was wonderful - quality home produce cooked to order, dinner in the restaurant was superb and service in all areas was excellent.
