Our room was spacious with a queen bed, a table, two wingback chairs, iron and ironing board, trouser press, and large bath with comfy towel warmer to insure a pleasant emergence from the tub. Bottled water as well as the customary tea, coffee, and b..."iscuits were all available at no charge. The dining room was good as was the food, although the food was a bit expensive. Valentina, the very gracious and welcoming maitre D', seated us for an early dinner before the theatre, then again many hours later for breakfast the next morning. She was kind and welcoming despite appearing to be at her station both night and day. The hotel is nicely situated, an easy walk to the theater and downtown. We walked to and from the Stratford rail station upon arrival and departure without difficulty. I would happily stay at the Alveston Manor again. " More >

  "Stayed for a night, arrived about 4 where the efficient reception team had everything ready for me. I had to come back down to reception as the company's agent had described the room as with free wired internet access which is not the case (not an issue with the hotel but the agent) and the staff h..."elped me with the wifi which was free under the company rate. (Point being, they were absolutely full in reception with a queue snaking out the door and they were still efficient and friendly.) The hotel is easy to find, and although I had a room close to the gym it was very quiet. Didn't stay around to eat, so can't comment there, the hotel is literally right on the Avon with the barges right on it. Huge car park with free parking, get your ticket validated when you check out. Also very close to town and easy to commute to, but no problem sleeping at all. Comfortable bed, enough sockets for working - would definitely stay here again for work or otherwise. " More >
