  "Went for our annual weekend break with Warner. This weekend was to see the Bee Gees tribute band Staying Alive. The hotel is as with most of Warners hotels set in beautiful grounds. We stayed in ground floor signature room, which was spacious and well maintained. however we were not really impres..."sed with the modern style wardrobes with no doors, the hanging spaces were too short for my wife's longer dresses. That said as only there for a weekend there was ample room to store our clothes. There is a safe in the room, which was large enough for the iPad but could not lock away the laptop. While talking about the computer, according to the hotel reception there is free wifi in all public areas, however despite trying to log on in reception and throughout the hotel no connection could be obtained, this is something that Warner needs to rectify.   "We stayed at Thoresby Hall for a 70s weekend for 3 nights, the staff were excellent, polite and very helpful, we stayed in room 315 overlooking the old hall a nice quite room, the room was good everything worked as it should, plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits, The bathroom was clean with soaps etc...". At meal time you are allocated a table for your stay so you get to know the waiter, the food was A1 plenty to choose from either from the self service or waiter service. We were on table 100 in the main part of the restaurant under the glass roof so we had plenty of light over us, there are other smaller rooms off the main part of the restaurant where you may be seated, I would suggest when booking to ask to be in the main part as you could end up looking at a blank wall while dining. The daytime activities are well organised with plenty to do if you want, we joined in the quiz’s, shooting, archery, and walks. The bar service was good even though there were plenty at the bar.
