  "We stayed here and were really made to feel welcome. Jill and Brett were really lovely people that made our stay a memorable one. Byfield house is a really interesting place, we were given a tour of it, and then shown to our lovely garden room that had just about everything....a very comfy bed, ..."a beautiful view of the garden from big french style windows,a fridge full of goodies, a warm and cosy room and peace and tranquility. A good nights sleep was had and then the next day we went off to explore the area and beyond, which again was brilliant as we were given maps and well informed of the places to go to etc etc. we will hopefully go back soon!   "Byfield House was beyond wonderful from our first email exchange with Jill and Brett. Their professionalism in trying to ensure a comfortable match between the goals of their guests and the nature of their home was exceptional. Communication was efficient and informative. Brett met us on the plat..."form at the train station and gave us a brief tour of the area. We met Jill at Byfield House and were treated to an exploration of their gorgeous house and grounds. The Garden Room was perfect with a comfortable bed, fully equipped and stocked kitchen, and modern bathroom in a house almost 500 years old. Antique furnishings and an extensive selection of gourmet food in the kitchen reflect Jill and Brett's serious efforts to make certain their guests feel like family friends from the moment they arrive until they are returned to the train station.
