  "I had heard a great deal about Clovelly and decided to stay a night there whilst on my week's holiday of walking the South West Coast Path. I was advised by the New Inn that I did not have to pay the admission fee to enter Clovelly because I was staying a night in the village itself. The New ..."Inn is situated at the top end of the village. Guests can either stay in the hotel itself or in the annex which is across the cobbled street from the hotel. Rooms in the hotel itself have the facilities you would expect in a hotel whereas rooms in the annex are basic, which is reflected in the price. I stayed in the annex as this suited my needs. The room was clean but basic with no TV and shared bathroom facilities. I found the staff I met at the New Inn were friendly and helpful. As this is a small hotel, staff do have dual roles.
