Luckily, the desk staff were wonderful. They were happy to accommodate anything we needed (though they of course came with an extra price tag, ie parking), but were very friendly despite us being scruffy and disheveled from the plane ride, willing to help us with our bags (we had packed for two weeks after all), and very helpful.   "I don't often write reviews and know they are sometimes bogus but this own is NOT! My husband and I recently headed to North Vancouver for a little vacation mid-week. Over the last 30 years, we have visited Vancouver often but never North Vancouver. It was a real delight that will be repeated again...." Despite the on-and-off rain showers we explored many parks, gardens and museums recommended by Ruth. She and Rex reminded us of places we have loved and forgotten and suggested new adventures. We slept soundly in the quiet, residential neighborhood that is just a short drive across the bridge from downtown Vancouver. The Thistle Down garden is a treasure of hidden corners to sit, sip and read when you are done traipsing.
