  "It was great... At first"
  "We where staying in the suite with an amazing view on the 17th floor. Everyone was helpful and the location was amazing. The restaurant in the hotel was not spetacular, except for the view and clives was lacklustre. Our final night the lounge was understaffed and the server told us that we wouldn't ..."like a drink when asked for it. Also they did not check and ask if we wanted anymore. A huge disappointment. The final morning we got nagged to leave and check out and no assistance when asked for a bell hop because they where "too busy" the house maid came three times to remind us "check out is 11" and tried to push her way into the room. And the front desk kept calling for us to leave but wouldn't send assistance. Lets just say it started well, and ended bad. I can't find where the value of my money went. " More >

  "I chose the Inn after reading many reviews. All the positives are exactly right. But, I was surprised none mentioned the one thing I had a problem with. Just outside the hotel, on the water, is what the water taxi driver called "a very busy runway". Seaplanes take off starting at 7 in the morning.(3..." takeoffs between 7 and 7:20 am). The roar of their engines can be heard in the ocean front rooms (I don't know about the ones with the Inner Harbour views). Loud enough to wake me up! If you're someone who likes to sleep in , and you're sensitive to noise, this is a problem. I didn't expect it! Hotel was full so I couldn't move to another room. So, I was up every morning at 7. Bummer. If that's not a problem for you everything else is wonderful. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful to a person. The food in the restaurant, though a bit pricey was delicious, and the outside patio under the heaters is a gorgeous setting from 5-10 pm. Our king studio deluxe room in the Erickson ... " More >

  "Really enjoyed 2 nights at this hotel overlooking the harbour in Victoria. We were going to book the Fairmont but a friend said this was better. From the moment we checked in with the very friendly and helpful staff to the moment we checked out, I couldn't find anything wrong. We chose the Pacific v..."iew room with the Butchart gardens tickets. So glad I got this room. It was nice to sit on the balcony with a coffee in the morning or wine at night and watch all the action and lights over the harbour. The room was a good size and very clean. The bed was sooo comfortable. The bathroom had all the required amenities and was also very clean. I was also surprised at how quiet the hotel seems to be. The free wifi worked excellently at all times. Of course, the location couldn't be any better as it is easy walking distance from everything you need. Wish I could say more because this place was wonderful.....the best on our vacation around B.C. " More >
