  "We stayed here this past weekend with our soccer team who was playing in a soccer tournament. We found the room (suite) to be very spacious, clean and new. They put our whole team on the same floor which was great so we didn't disturb other guests. Breakfast was mediocre and coffee was really bad...", both in the room and in the breakfast room. Luckily there is a Starbucks across the street. The other downer was the prepaid, non refundable expensive room cost, even though we got a reduction due to buying a block of rooms. 189.00 per night is extremely expensive for a 3 start hotel.This this was done because every hotel room sells out and they can demand it. Waterslide was a great attraction for the kids. Wish there was an outdoor area with some chairs for the adults to convene at. " More >

  "Recently stayed overnight as part of a Rocky Mountaineer trip. Wasn't sure about the property based on the exterior, but was very pleasantly surprised. Friendly staff who not only greeted us on arrival with cold drinks, but came out to wave goodbye to us the next morning - a very nice touch. The hotel is located within walking distance of a number of restaurants, and only about a 5 - 10 minute walk to Riverside Park which is very pretty. " More >

  "Love the Shoes!"
  "My son and I were in Kamloops for a track and field event and had the pleasure of staying at the 540. An ideal location within walking distance to downtown shopping and eateries and just a 5 minute drive to Hillside Stadium. I rolled the dice and attempted to check in at noon and to my surprise was ..."accommodated. Linzi at the front desk was great, very engaged and explained the Bed & Breakfast promotion which essentially resulted in free parking (and an awesome breakfast at Blue)! The room was on the 3rd floor, spacious and renovated which included a number of “Green” initiatives which was great to see. The renovations compliment what I thought to be a cool mid century "Sinatra" exterior and the valet and bell staff's colourful shoes help top it all off. " More >
