Our bags were ta..."ken at the Caneel Bay lounge at the St. Thomas airport, we hopped the Caneel Bay taxi to downtown St. Thomas, boarded the Caneel Bay ferry for about a 30 minute ride (complete with free rum punches), and were greeted by several staff members with cold, wet washcloths when we de-boarded the ferry. We were taken by golf cart directly to our room (at Turtle Bay Beach) and our bags were waiting for us inside the room - it was great! Our room at Turtle Bay was definitely one of the highlights of the trip - very spacious, lots of closet/drawer space, beautiful bathroom, and it was beachfront! We booked a guided tour of St. John which was breathtaking and educational. We really got to see the beauty of the island and learn about St. John's history. We also booked the snorkel, hike, canoe trip which was awesome. We enjoyed eating at all three locations on the property. Our room still looked the same as it was 11 years ago. I have seen other reviews about the room decor and I can understand why some people may be disappointed by the condition of the room. We enjoyed the island charm of the room.
