While many of the streets are very dark at night, I never felt unsafe. Many of the locals that we encountered were quite friendly and eager to help with directions or suggestions of places to eat or things to do. We stayed in a spacious one bedroom with a loft. While it was very clean upon our arrival, we did notice tiny spiders on the kitchen counter top from time to time. The cleaning staff was always friendly, however we wish that they had done a more thorough job with our room. They never cleaned the loft portion and our beach towels were not cleaned or replaced. The hotel was perfect in every way, and yes the views are amazing, definitely one of the highlights of the trip was sitiing, any time of day on our balcony and taking in the view. Rooms are beutiful, comfortable, loved the small kitchen, and bathrooms are great. We loved making coffee every morning and having breakfast on the patio, we even picked up goodies and enjoyed a lovely dinner on the terrace a few evenings along with a great bottle of wine.   "Stayed here for our anniversary and it was perfect. Walking distance to phenomenal restaurants, amazing views (pay the money to stay oceanview...worth every dime and MORE!!!), and the on-site restaurant is fabulous! We were welcomed with a bottle of wine and a clean room with island music playing ..."as we checked in. Ate at the on-site restaurant the first night and it was very good. There are a lot of places set up all over the resort to sit and enjoy a glass of wine and the sunset. The fitness facilities were ample for a resort and the pool seemed nice (we did not use it but took a peek). The complimentary breakfast was simple yet delicious. The best part of the hotel was being able to walk out of our room and be right at the water with lounge chairs and a spectacular view. We also like to walk to and from dinner and found this to be the best place for that. Would highly recommend and would definitely go back. " More >
