  "Had the pleasure of staying at Couples Negril 5/13 thru 5/17/2013. Excellent experience! Yes, the water is THAT clean and blue! Above and beyond the best food service of any resort we have stayed at. Very nice room, comfortable bed, very nice air conditioning. Everyone was nice, helpful and courteous! We came very close to a vacation disaster. When we exited Customs we found my spouse's suitcase but not mine. Air Tran rep not much help other than taking a report. Got to the resort and told them what had happened and they took the form the Air Tran rep had gave me and got to work on it. After a couple of hours they reported that someone had taken my suitcase by mistake but was unable to take it back to the airport.   "My wife and I stayed at the RIU Negril for our honeymoon in April of 2013. We both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The day we arrived was very hot. They greeted us with cold drinks and a damp rag to cool of with. The service we thought was excellent. Everybody was extremely friendly. We stayed in the ..."farthest out building which was a nice walk to get to anything but we liked it because it was quieter on that end of the beach. I dont know other peoples experiences but Id imagine if you are on te first floor prepare to have crabs in your room. The first night we had so many and we werent impressed. But we were able to clean em out and after that only a few came in but we got used to them showing up. The water is beautiful and clear. We fed fish out of our hands. Saw some pretty big fish and also a stingray! The beach was ok, some of its kinda rocky and hard. The pools are very nice. Cleaned every night. Well kept up.   "We checked into the Pure on Sat May 11, 2013. I had been here once before with a most pleasant stay & I now noticed many of the upgrades & renovations that had been taking place since then. Paint was crisp with bright blue & green tones contrasting so beautifully with the immaculately kept mature ..."gardens all around the whole facility. The rooms were clean & it was obvious to see that they were also recently refurnished. The beds were not the 2 foot thick pillow top posture-pedic model I have at home in Canada, but they were a newer model & clean & worked like a charm. The air conditioning unit looked a bit older but worked perfectly & wasn't too noisy either. I hav stayed in a few places in Negril & also in different parts of the island ...& with that said, I like to stay across from the beach for a little more peace & privacy.
