The rooms are spread out enough so you do not have to hear your neighbours and each room has its own terrace with uninterrupted views of the bay. Rooms are well sized and very ..."clean. The restaurant area is huge and open, once again with amazing views. While the food may be more expensive here, it is of a high standard, however I would give the Friday night buffet a miss. The breakfasts are plentiful and there is something to suit every taste. The private beach with lounges and umbrellas is a bonus and the staff are incredibly helpful. Overall I think this is still an excellent hotel and well worth a visit if you want something quieter and more old worlde. Highly recommended. " More >

The problem with this place is that it is a bit far from everything; shopping, restaurants, etc. You can walk into town in about 15-20 minutes, but the closest grocery s..."tore takes about 30 minutes in a taxi. The Tuk Tuks that are on the island are incredibly overpriced as well as most of the restaurants close by or right in the area. All businesses play off each other and thia makes the prices high. If money is not an issue, i very much recommend this property. There are 2 pools, AirCon, breakfast buffet (for 140B). If money is an issue, there are bungalows within a 5 minute walk that are rustic and give you that true Thailand feel. " More >

  "My husband and I spent three nights here a few years ago and it was amazing. The hotel rooms are beautiful, with private huge balconies and beach views. Just outside you can eat at incredible Thai restaurants for pennies. (beach restaurants, nothing fancy, but if you like Thai food, so good). Mas..."sages on the beach. The hotel had kayaks to borrow and we went out for a few hours and saw beautiful natural sights. The hotel did offer massages and had a restaurant, but we never tried them so I can't say anything about it. We really thought this place was amazing because it was a beautiful resort, very close to the Thai beaches with Thai prices. Many of the resorts here are tucked away so you don't have a choice for restaurants or hotel beach amenities. At night we took a tuk tuk into town to experience some of the nightlife, then back to luxury and beach. " More >
