We asked to be picked up from the airport, and chose the Regent Experience option, which means we were greeted by a representative right before picking up our luggage, and travelled in a luxury van that included complementary drinks and wifi! Some people are surprised that the Hot..."el is away from shops and other attractions,but there are local buses running from the Aquarium at a small cost 30 baht to Phuket and then hop on another to lots of interesting places.Its very safe and you get a marvellous opportunity to meet local people. Have an ice cream or a coffee in the Kantary Cafe, it's a lovely place to sit and watch the world go by. Take a walk around the area,you will find little bars and small restaurants,there is a lovely Indian called Currynites opposite the Raddisson .
