  "I'll start by thanking my lucky stars for the view from the balcony of this hotel. Staff is great, friendly, its as if we knew them for a lifetime!   "We have just returned from a lovely week in Sunny Malta and stayed at the Ambassador Hotel . We were under no illussions as to what we were going to get. We were greeted warmly by the receptionist lindsay, Our room was clean cool and had a great view of the bay. As we only intended to use the room ..."to sleep in it was great, The linen was changed every couple of days without us asking as were the towels, OK the air con was a bit hit or miss but it was there if we wanted it on, Like most hotels that offer satellite TV, all we got was BBC world news, but we were not there to watch telly all day, As for the restaurant we discovered that it was not owned or run by the hotel but some obnoxious twit from Greece who didnt much like the hotel guest's he preferred to Cater to the locals. He also owned the 'Lido' which was not at all well maintained.This we found out from other guests who have stayed there previous times. My reasons for excellent are so much for the courteous and hardworking staff - these people w..."ork 12 hour days if not more, for a mere 4 Euros per hour and still manage to have a smile from beginning to end, remaining courteous. My room was cleaned everyday by a delightful maid staff Giuseppe and Josephine (from the UK). The reception staff are there 24 hours. During the day the delightful Stefanie (who is helpfully bilingual in a number of European languages) and Lara were extremely helpful not to mention our fantastic host and manager, Joseph. I was a single traveller for 15 days and there were one or two hiccups such as a vent making too much noise, my holiday company booking me in an inland room rather than the sea view I had booked.
