We were keen for camping and fixed up the whole program with “Mr. Pratap Chauhan” the co-owner of the place and were looking forward to one of the most unforgettable trips of our lifetime. We had booked the place for two nights out of which the first night was camping at the “Hatu” itself! We reached Agaat Vaas around afternoon and the while we were walking down the route to the base camp (1km walk from the main road towards the camp) we met “Mr. Aditya”, son of Mr Pratap Chauhan who along with his team was going to set up our tents at the Hatu Peak where we were to camp at the night.   "Well what can I say, this place is amazing! First a few caveats - Its pretty high up, it gets really cold, weather is obviously unpredictable, the road leading up is extremely narrow (I would really recommend a professional taxi driver or ask Mr Pratap from Agyaat Vaas to arrange for a pick up f..."rom down below), We had to walk last stretch of the road (was completely covered with snow) on an extremely narrow inclined mountain slippery path (make sure you have good shoes with grooves/rubber spikes or it will get ugly.. and yea don't look down the valley if you're scared!). Well now the good part after you've made it through - The views are amazing, the dense forests, the high Himalayan peaks at the horizon (Kinnaur Kailash et al) and best of all - very few human beings! You can take amazing hikes upto hatu peak, karena peak or just stroll around in the wilderness surrounding you. Just don't spend your time indoors!
