  "What I like 1. A pleasant hotel in natural environment. Stayed 2 nights in chalet styled room with a nice veranda. I was a little disappointed that it did not face the sea. But I began to appreciate the peaceful natural surroundings sitting at the veranda in the morning. Spotted squirrels, monkeys..." and birds among the trees - quite relaxing for urban folks like me. Good for nature walks, boat rides on the lake and photography. 2. The restaurant area has a large potio overlooking the lake, offering a beautiful view over breakfast. 3. The rooms are large with separate cubicles for toilet and bath, with a washing sink. So 3 persons could do their stuff concurrently - cool. 4. Service is prompt and staff generally friendly. What I dislike 1. Not convenient for those with walking difficulty - the resort is built on a slope and there are lots of steps and slopes moving from place to place.   "Before you jump to any conclusion on my write up because of the title, please note - if you plan to stay here, go ahead. I will summarize my points in pros and cons and you'll understand why the title and my recommendation seems paradoxical. Pros: 1. A very well planned resort with gorgeous chalet..."s, well positioned to view the lake and garden. The chalets are huge and rustic. 2. The staff are polite and courteous. The lobby is huge and has an excellent view of the surroundings. The resort also provides games like darts, carrom and pool during the times when you have nothing to do. 3. The food at the restaurant cannot be faulted at all! The choice may be limited, but whatever they serve you is tasty. I prefer a limited choice tasting good rather than a huge spread that tastes horrible. 4. The sight-seeing tours are done by experienced and well trained people. We had a lovely ride on the lake to the herb island and the Saok waterfall. Sounds good, yes? What could be wrong then? ... " More >
