  "Being a couple travelling abroad for the first time we didn't have any ideas what we would arrive too, but are so glad we did. Although the hotel was a fair distance from Heraklion airport (1hr), when we arrived the staff were very helpful, giving us times of meals and what to do with the room's ..."airconditioning etc. As we arrived in the late afternoon our first meal was almost straight away and being a person who suffers from a nut allergy, I had to address that before sitting down. Although the kitchen staff's english was limited she recommended seeing the receptionist, (who's English is superb) and suitable eating arrangements made. Every meal after that I was spotted and told what I could and couldn't have, which was marvellous! If you're a traveller who wants english food abroad then you will have to eat out, as the majority of the meals are local style dishes or european origin, why people travel abroad to have a chip shop dinner is a mystery to me, but that's my advise none th... We were lucky enough to have three rooms next to each other which made things really easy. When we arrived in our room we found complimentary fruit, wine, crisps, popcorn and water. Things that impressed me were: the fridge was free to use and not noisy. The safety deposit box was free to use. There were blue beach towels for our use, we had these replaced every couple of days at our request.
