  "We were reccommended by our Japanese friend to Kamogawa Hills Resort by chance as our Tokyo preferred hotel is fully booked over that weekend. The train ride from Tokyo JR Station took 1 hour & 45 min. A chartered minibus was waiting for us at the destination train station. The resort was situated a..."t the top of a hill (as the name implies). From our room balcony on 9th floor, we overlooked the coast line around the area. The wind was very strong along the region coastal area dring our 1-night stay. We could hear the rattling of doors and windows through the night. The hotel rate was charged per person and includes dinner & breakfast. We had choices of traditional Japanese room with tatami floor or western room with beds. Onsen facility was very clean and professional. The dinner was served as sets with a wide spread of traditional Japanese cuisine. The same restaurant served buffet breakfast the next morning.   "I visited Kamogawa for business and my wife joined me. We stayed 4 days in the Kamogawa Grand Hotel (KGH). This hotel is a resort to which Japanesse people come for a day or two. KGH is beatiufully located on the beach and has outdoor pool, hot baths and beatifull gardens. The rooms are very big..." and comfartable althoguht the furniture is old. The staff is helpfull but most of them do not speak english. We ordered one morning a western breakfast and it was dissapointing. I recommend to walk either south or north to either the Kameda hospital and have coffe there or to a coffe shop. The hotel's spa is good and we enjoyed several massages also they offer bycicles for rent which is nice. We stayed at the older part of the hotel and it was good. The checkout time in this hotel is 10:00 which was too early for us and they overcharged for late departure. The cost for the room (with no breakfast) was per the number of people in the room so the same room for a single person cost half... " More >
