We stayed for two nights at Les Victorines du Lac at fall and it is just perfectly located directly at the lake. The room was nicely decorated and clean. For advice or a nice chat, the hotel owners were very open and supporting. We enjoyed good breakfast and a nice dinner; gluten free diet was no problem.

We stayed at Les Victorines du Lac during a weekend to visit the site of the train derailment tragedy of the summer 2013. The auberge (Inn) is perfectly situated directly on Lac Mégantic. Unfortunately the restaurant, that has an interesting dinner menu, was not operating on the evening we were there. We also had breakfast at the auberge. The rooms... More

I went to Lac Mégantic to meet friends . We were recommended by one of those friends this particular hôtel. It was perfect. Friendly check in by the owner himself. He gave us some tips of what to do in the town. You feel like home in this place. Huge yard; chairs by the lake, friendly people and a lot... More

We stayed one night at this lovely Auberge. Lac Megantic is a beautiful area and there aren't many auberges or hotels in the surroundings so we lucked out with this property, which is part of the Hôtellerie Champêtre family. Our room had a queen-size extremely comfortable mattress and the room was clean, the sheets were luxurious. There was no TV... More

I've been to this Hotel everytime I'm in town. I really like it. The Hotel is located just aside of the lake and is really nice relax on the garden sitting in front of the lake. The rooms are not so big, but clean and really confortables. I always really appreciatedj the food prepared in the inside restaurant. The owner... More

Nicely located, 10-year old Victorian style B&B with a disappointing cuisine. The Beaujolais was served at fridge temperature, the appetizer was a terrine of lamb and cranberry that you could have bought at the local supermarket, the braised veal was not braised at all! I got 2 slices of yesterday's veal roast in a brown steak sauce, served with nice... More

Being an Anglo with high school French may not have helped - but even though the client we were meeting there was a francophone from the Eastern Townships himself they still weren't very welcoming. Arrived in a spring blizzard & the very steep driveway down to the B & B on the lake hadn't been plowed so getting down there... More

I am Swiss, traveled extensively but never had such a rude and unwelcoming experience as at the Victorines. My French Canadian friends felt ashamed by very condescending attitude of the staff. We had to pay for breakfast even though the website says it's included in price. They served us two orders of 'Eggs Benedickt' on ONE plate!!!! If my friends... More
