My wife and I purchased a two night voucher from Groupon, staying in mid January. We stayed in the McFarlane suite, one of the biggest rooms there! Had a peek at the room next to ours... similar but a third of the size and no spa. Absolutely huge room with the usual features and a spa in the room! We... More

We purchased an OurDeal voucher for 3 nights accommodation and were allocated the Harry Padman 1 lodge room. The room was basic in its appearance and facilities but generally nice and clean apart from several cobwebs along the ceiling. The bathroom was again clean and fairly modern with a large rainfall-type shower head. However I found it hard to maintain... More

We stayed for 2 nights in the Bears Outlook room. After looking at the website we were looking forward to our stay but it was definitely not what we expected! Beige, stained carpet, mould in the shower, stained bed linen and worn furniture that seemed to serve no purpose. This room needed some major renovating - it reminded me of... More

We purchased our accomodation through luxury escapes and found it to be a great little get away! We emailed through to request the rooms we wanted from the website prior to purchasing the deal. We stayed in Olives retreat and found the room spacious with high wooden ceilings. The deck looked out over the beautiful forest and it was nice... More

The accommodation was first rate, and the staff were very helpful and polite. The surroundings were very peaceful and not too far from Margaret River. Food was excellent too. I would recommend this place for couples wanting to get away for a while.

I was abit worried after reading the other posts. We stayed in the "Olives 2" room. We found the room to be quite nice. Really big and spacious. The kitchenette was great. We decieded not to eat at the restaurant, and instead enjoyed the local produce at the farmers market. Soo goood! The fridge was just right for a 2 days... More

We stayed in 'Bears Retreat'. The room and its furnishings are in need of a spruce-up. Its all a bit tired. Carpets in a very worn state. Notwithstanding that, the room and bathroom are large but could do with more natural light. Stairs leading down from the gravel car park are rocky and uneven. Not something to negotiate if you... Pleasant surroundings but.. We gave this weekend away to our daughter and Son In Law.. Very basic room with no block out curtains. Light woke them at 5 am. Breakfast was continental with tin fruit cereal and bread. One drink and one tiny snack at 6pm. One free dinner but when my family ordered the waiter forget to put in... More

We thought everything about this lodge was idyllic, being peaceful, calm, tranquil, and relaxing, although the restaurant can get a bit lively with friendly staff and an excellent store of wine. The food wasn't bad either. We enjoyed tender steak, flavoursome chicken and the tastiest asparagus we've had for a long while. The room was large and the bed comfortable.... More

Thank you so much for a wonderful weekend. We had such a lovely time and feel so lucky to have found this gem. Thanks Zoe, Lindsay, Patrick, Jim n Jacob. Loved the pizza Patrick, it's a talking point, but you better work on your golf ;). Cant wait to go back. XO
