Seven years after our first visit another memorable weekend was had here. Excellent staff, great food and wine, and the lodge and accommodation easily as good as the last experience. I'm sure I could find something that wasn't quite right but that would really be splitting hairs. We have been fortunate enough to stay at Kauri Cliffs and Matakauri as... More

It's hard to share how much we loved Cape Kidnappers. We were skeptical as we entered--it's a 15-minute drive after you enter the property to get to the actual lodge. But it's heaven throughout. Not pretentious at all, but you're never left wanting for anything. The staff is engaging and omnipresent but not all up in your business. It was... More

We have just arrived back down to earth after a, "One of a kind", weekend away at The Farm, everything was 6 star. The rooms are more like small villa's with the up-most privacy and stunning views encompassing nearly all of Hawkes Bay. The service, food along with wine pairings.. well I'm just speechless. All this and in the most... More

My husband and I enjoyed a weekend at Cape Kidnappers with a group of friends and everyone left feeling that it had been something really special. From the moment we were greeted by staff at The Farm to the time we checked out, the service was fantastic - attentive and caring, but not overwhelming. Our suite was beautiful, comfortable and... Sister Lodge of Kauri Cliffs overlooking beautiful coastline. Plenty of things to do in the area, we wish we would have stayed longer. Beats Kauri Cliffs on setting, service level, pool area. Staff less volatile. However still not up to friendliness and warmth of Huka Lodge. Food was average. No dark bread at breakfast, no cheese, cold cuts, etc on... More

Had a great time despite the rain. Would love to come back. Fantastic property with plenty to do . You just need a good weather. Would have loved to spend time by the pool and do some more walks. Staff very helpfull and food great.

From our personal greeting upon arrival, to the staff telling us "it seems you just arrived" after our three day stay, we felt welcome and at home. Set on a 6,000 acre sheep and cattle farm on the rugged coastline of the North Island, luxury awaited us at every turn. Our beautifully appointed room looked out over the breathtaking views... More

We spent 3 days at the resort and did not platy golf. We hiked to see the Ganets and did the Kiwi discovery tour. We did not do the gannet tour but just walked to see the colony. The Kiwi Discovery tour recommended by our wonderful travel agent Donna Thomas of nztravel was exceptional . We tracked and held a... More

The Farm at Cape Kidnappers is located on a 6,000 acre working sheep and cattle farm. But make no mistake, the property itself is luxurious inside and out from the main lodge to the cottages. Beware of the addictive cookies they cook fresh daily and leave in your mini-bar! There are lots of adventures to be had including: one of... More

We stayed 3 nights at the Farm at Cape Kidnappers at the end of January beginning of February as part of our 2 week trip to NZ. The location is spectacular and the service excellent. We road bikes to the gannet colony, hiked a few trails, took a wine tour, enjoyed a spa treatment and took part in the Kiwi... More
