Had a very enjoyable 3 day stay, organised trips excellent and efficiently timed, stunning views. There were some things that could be done better, mostly not an issue on its own but accumulated made the stay excellent but not superb. A couple of examples - Drinks, serious omission: This is the only significant issue. The hotel needs to create a... More

You can't get much better than staying at a Julian Robertson resort in New Zealand. This is our second visit but this time with another couple. The views, cabins, food, wine, golf course and staff are all excellent. We met Jay Robertson on our first day at the lodge and had a great chat with him. It is really interesting... More

From the moment we arrived, we were very well looked after and pampered. The excellent service that we enjoyed allowed us to relax completely. This was the absolute best! Fantastic horses and beautiful scenery, the 3+ hour ride was the best part of our trip. Dzidra was very friendly and helpful, with good local knowledge. Highly recommend this to anyone wanting to see something a little different!

From the moment you arrive, you are made to feel special. Greeted by the manager and his assistant, KK, our luggage was unpacked from our car and delivered to our rooms as we were given a tour of the facilities. We eventually arrived at our very spacious rooms, beautifully decorated with items of the highest quality. Travelling with another couple,... More

Cape Kidnappers is extremely exclusive and the service is very personalized. The property is beautiful and the decor is warm and inviting. There are only about 24 rooms on about 6,000 acres and the staff to guest ratio in very high. The staff is excellent at tailoring their service to your individual needs - be sure to let them know... I'll begin this by saying that the property at Cape Kidnappers is unparalleled. And the structures are just as good or better. The contemporary farm design is amazing and the main house had the feel of a $12 million napa estate. We had just finished at Matakauri, and while Matakauri has the location and the attractions, Kidnappers has the edge as... This is high end facilities but comes with the appropriate high prices. Rooms were large and very well furnished with all accessories. We just enjoyed two extraordinary days at Cape Kidnappers. The setting, surrounding countryside, facilities, views, food and service were all world class. We were fortunate in that on the second night of our stay we were the only guests on the property. We stayed at the Farm at Cape Kidnappers from September 14-17, 2014. It was the first stop in our first visit to New Zealand. My husband and I feel this must be the most beautiful ranch in all of NZ.
