The Majestic is a relatively standard provincial hotel in Thailand. It was clean and everything worked OK: air conditioning, warm water in shower but not the sink, and TV worked, but no international channels. Reception could best be described as civil, but not welcoming. The décor was a bit stark, featured lots of ancient teak wood, but not modern furnishing... More

I'm writing this review after staying in another 2 hotels in Sakon Nakhon. A last minute trip to the town meant that I was trying to book this hotel whilst in transit. I called the front desk and asked if we could speak in English. The response was a firm NO! "Is there anybody there who does speak English?" a... More

Second time me and my wife stayed here, theres two building to this hotel.Stayed in both, the one with reception is the better one. Both are old and worn out,but clean and tidy.Only stayed for one night on both times.Over priced for what you get,not good value for money, you can find better in the area.

Well I've read some reviews on here and think some either stay in Buckingham palace or the top 7 star hotel in Dubai, or they are the top horror story writer, My stay at short notice recently was fine, firstly when we arrived late with out booking on a really busy holy celebration we were offered a 5th floor room... Here's the experience we had at MJ. **Warning, incsase you couldn't tell from the title this isn't for the squeamish! The booking was made for us by my ex who is from Sakon, it was not her first choice, but at the time, graduation day at the local university was approaching, so most hotels in the area were fully booked.... Hi, Went to collect friends who arrived at Sakon Nakhon airport late so we all over-nighted here. Not a new or fancy hotel but nice, clean, bedding and towels all OK and flat screen as well as Wi Fi in the room. Not a resort town so a Thai customer based place but a few foreigners were staying there.Large rooms,coffee... More

This hotel was terrible. Rooms were like cheap backpackers, airconditioning did not work even on high. Which meant that we did not sleep. Shower was over bath and bath was sooo filthy that we did not want to use it, we eventually cleaned it ourselves. Staff were not helpful at all and even entered our room and turned airconditione off... More

This hotel close to my office and next to the market but hard to find cooked food, 7-11 opposite to the hotel, below hotel has good restaurant. Reception had great service mind, room are clean. 6th floor is highest floor of this hotel, try to avoid this floor because bird have their nest and noisy scratch sound.

A plus was that the hotel runs a mini bus service from the airport for 100 baht per person. We stayed in the old wing and the room was tired and in need of refurbishment. Breakfast was average, the fried eggs were cold, so for a Farang it was reduced to toast and jam, coffee and juice which was ok.... More

Large room, clean and fairly basic. Hanging rails as opposed to wardrobes. Old TV but works with no sky or satellite channels. Better rate using booking engines as walk in rates are slightly higher. No room safe but boxes available at reception which is a bit of a drag. Outside parking on frontage.Good breakfast buffet catering mainly to Asian but It... More
