Interesting architecture in a lovely setting (500m from the beach) with a warm, friendly and personal atmosphere. For outdoor leisure, there's a spacious pool, you can take bikes to town, but there's also quiteness to read and W-Lan if you need it. San Ignacio is defenitely a spot worth visiting in Uruguay

This is a very special place, one you leave feeling a bit sad not knowing when you will be back. My husband and I spent 6 nights in the charming town of José Ignacio. We spent our first 2 nights in another hotel just 1 km away of this one. We decided to extend our stay in José Ignacio but... More

We stayed two nights here on a first visit to Jose Ignacio. The hotel is attractive and modern and located in an area that is mostly private homes. There is a lovely beach about a 5 minute walk from the hotel across the sand dunes. Town is a longer walk (which can be hot during the day) but easily accessible... More

i am simply in love with the architecture of this hotel! it is in a quiet location, surrounded by luxury houses, and 5 mins walk from the very nice beach. the nice town is not too far either, if you go there by the beach. the staff is young and very friendly they gave us some very useful tips on... My wife and I stayed for three nights in late November during our first visit to Jose Ignacio. Upon walking into the hotel Mauricio and Camila ensured our time at Posada Arenas was excellent and first rate. Since we were in town shortly before the high season, Mauricio explained which shops and restaurants were open and marked them clearly on... More

I stayed two nights at the hotel during the beginning of November. The hotel is beautifully situated about 2k from the town itself. It's a short walk to the beach, and we walked the beach into town each evening for dinner (La Huella). The design of the hotel is modern and interesting, and the pool is a delight. The bathroom's... We just adored our stay for five weeks this past February & March. The owners have created a welcoming oasis of vibrant architecture combined with low-key hospitality. It is a perfect match! When we asked for anything (and we had lots of asks) the answer was always yes and delivered with a smile. Our room was quiet, spacious, both screened... More

We were greeted by Mauricio and Camila who manage the hotel and immediately fell in love with it. Every little detail has been done with impeccable taste. The hotel was by Fernando the owner who we met along with his wife Esther. They are lovely people and were happy to spend their time giving us tips on our further travels.... More

The hotel is really nice and quiet. The owner and staff are very welcoming and take such a good care of their guests. The location is perfect, a little outside the village but still close (you can borrow bike to go the the center). The beautifull beach is just acroos the road. It is a very peaceful place to take... We stayed at the Posada Arenas for five nights in the second half of February and could not have been happier with our choice. We highly recommend Jose Ignacio for the beaches, restaurants, and laid back atmosphere and Posada Arenas is a great place to stay. The small hotel (with about 12 rooms) is located just 2 kms from the... More
