I'm not the type of person that that writes reviews of their vacations, takes pictures of their meals or thinks about following up on customer satisfaction issues, good or bad. However, my wife and I recently returned from our first exploration trip to Jose Ignacio, Uruguay where we had the pleasure of staying at the Estancia Vik as well as... More

Yes. Estancia Vik is a luxurious hotel. Very luxurious. Its location is outstanding. A 10min drive from Jose Ignacio, in the middle of an astonishing piece of land, criss crossed by the lagune and covered with horses and cows slowly grazing the day away. It is an absolutely beautfiful decor that truly shines at sunset. The evenings are peaceful and... More

Highly recommend this lovely hotel. Very peaceful, lovely surroundings and good service. Only moan is that breakfast is rather Spartan and lunch options are relayed by staff whose English is poor. Would suggest a written menu in English and Spanish-most of the guests are English speaking-with more light options. It is very hot here and serving a meat main course... More

Our suite was a living art gallery in itself, and every morning for three days we arose to watch the sun emerge over the rolling prairie as the herd of horses returned from pasture galloping past our balcony. I could still smell the fireplace in our suite that warmed us as we went to bed. Pure bliss and the day... More

I recently stayed at Estancia Vik with two friends for four days. It was a unique and wonderful experience. If you are looking for a place to escape to, away from the world, this is it. 1. Location- Amazing location set on a ranch with views to die for. 2. Hotel- The most beautiful grounds and architecture. Every corner you... More

My husband and I spent a week over Christmas with our two boys aged 12 and 14 at the Estancia. I cannot say enough great words about Estancia Vik and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. I travel obsessively and I can honestly say that this is one of the most unique and best experiences I've had so... More

We enjoyed our stay in our tremendous suite with exceptional views. Loved the shower and tub. It's a special place with amazing views and wonderful staff. Extremely comfortable bed, with blackout curtains. We went horseback riding and canoeing and it was a very memorable experience. Breakfast was simple, we had lunch and dinner one day which was great as well.... More

I was in Estancia VIK last year and so impressed I wanted to show it to my wife. This place is unique and impressive . The owners have taste and they show it. But also build wise it's quite astonishing, starting from the hidden huge underground garage to double glass Schuko doors. Unfortunately the second time service was far away... More

Lots has been written already about Estancia Vik but it would be wrong not to add more words of praise for what is a stunning property and unlike anything I imagine you will find anywhere else. The building itself is gorgeous and the communal areas are amazing. We were fortunate enough to be upgraded to the Master Suite Daglio which... More
