We visited this fabulous resort as a result of winning a an all expense paid trip. It is a luxury accommodation with some of the best service I have ever experienced. All staff are courteous and friendly, with a good command of several languages. The resort itself is a work of art, featuring outstanding paintings, sculptures and designs from a... More

Hard to imagine a more peaceful refuge in what is the most elegant and artistic environment. Service and food was outstanding. The rooms full of delightful art were inspiring. We also stayed at the beach Vik nearby which also was top notch. But I highly recommend the countryside version for a memorable experience.

As you ride along a beautiful winding country road on your left in the distance an amazing site appears.. A huge, white, pristine Estancia perched high on a hill.. That is the beginning of a truly amazing and unique experience.. There are over 25 horses, cows, all types of beautiful birds including the Uruguayan version of Ostrich, parrots galore and... More

Upon arrival, the manager Thomas said that Estancia was built so that guests would feel like they were at their country home. From the moment I arrived until I left that is exactly the sensation that I felt. Everyone was incredibly warm and hospitable. Guadelupe ensured that I had water for my bike ride and Paula ensured that I had... More

We spent 4 nights at Estancia Vik and loved it. Gorgeous views over the countryside, exceptional staff (thanks, Guadeloupe!), delicious food all contribute to a peaceful getaway that's as active or restful as you wish. We whiled away a couple of days by the pool and beach at Bahia Vik which was also great. We'll definitely be back.

Estancia Vik is an exquisite hotel in a beautiful setting in Jose Ignacio. The approach to the hotel is enthralling, wide fields, a river, graceful horses. After wending your way down a curvy dirt road, the hotel suddenly comes into view. It is beautiful and inviting. The rooms are luxurious with every conceivable amenity; ours included a shower without walls... More

This Estancia seems that had been designed for those looking for a romantic and quiet place, but with sophisticated expectations. Surrounded only by nature, it is about 5 or 10 minutes to the center of Jose Ignacio, where the magnificent beach are, and also all the great restaurants. The beautiful property is very well conserved, with great pieces of art... More

If your in the neighborhood of Jose Ignacio' or looking for a quiet place to get out of the hustle bustle of the Uruguayan beach towns, Estancia VIK is a good choice. Just off the road, easy to find. Once there, step into PEACEFULNESS. Service is magnificent , the "non hotel" style is refreshing. The art , the VISION of... More

Estancia Vik is a gorgeous property in an unbelievable setting. The property is set on hundreds of acres near Jose Ignacio, surrounded by fields and pastures, ponds and streams, and the lagoon and ocean in the distance. Beautiful horses, cows and sheep roam the grounds and all public spaces and guest rooms have pristine views. The setting is really remarkable... More
