After reading many reviews about the Sapphire, I was a little nervous about what to expect when we arrived. However, I can honestly say I had a wonderful stay. When my fiance and I arrived(30 min prior to check in time) we were checked in promptly and escorted to our room by the bellman. The room was very clean and... more

We stayed here in April 2009 and paid only a token amount as it was a friend's timeshare unit. Our cost averaged out to less than $100 USD a night. That being said, if I had paid the rack rate (> $300) I would probably have been disappointed. The hotel itself is very dated. The rooms are also dated, but... more

I have stayed at this hotel before and it has gone downhill. Unfortunately, it is now so bad and in disrepair that I wouldn't recommended it to anyone. I have always liked Wyndham properties but this property is not deserving of the Wyndham name. Amazingly, upon check-in, I was given an inventory list of every item in the room and... more

I stayed at this hotel with a friend in May 2008, and we were both pleasantly surprised with the room at first. However, after our first 2 nights...the next two were horrible. Our room keycard stopped working properly..and maintenance fixed it quickly the first time on day 3...on day 3 we came back from a long day of checking out... more

We read the reviews before we arrived as were unsure of our decision. But we changed our minds upon arrival. The staff was great and friendly, our room was very clean and our timing was perfect for being able to go to the beach at the hotel. That said, if you get a room that has problems, you will not... more

Upon arrival at the hotel people were in the lobby yelling at the manager because the water had been out for three days. I had reservations in hand upon arrival also and after three hours of wating by the pool eating discusting food at their poolside restaurant the hostess told me they were overbooked and I should come back in... more

Due to a snow storm back home, we had to unexpectedly spend 2 nights in St Maarten. We booked the Wyndham last minute based on a good rate and the fact that in general, Wyndhams are decent hotels. Our first hint that something was not right was when the taxi driver had no idea where the hotel was. It was... more

This was the fourth visit to SXM, but first time to stay. Checked in to a "2" bedroom timeshare exchange thru RCI with my sweetie and my brother and his sweetie. All were tired. Second bedroom was for elves. Complained but nothing could be done on weekend until the management knew where they were on condos. My sweetie and I... more

After reading several of the reviews on this site we too were a little nervous. Upon arrival I had my doubts after seeing the lobby because it's not very impressive. But once we saw our room we were very satisfied.... This resort was clean and very comfortable. We were upgraded to a Villa which was over the top. The living... more

We have just returned from a week at the Sapphire. We stayed with our friends who own a timeshare week. The rooms are presentable but the beds are the worst. They need to upgrade the mattresses; they're very uncomfortable. The staff was OK. The service at the bar was slow; the food was average. Overall I would say this property... more
