We stayed at the inn for an overnight stay while attending a friend's wedding. The room decor & it's contents were extremely old & need to be seriously replaced. The room smelled stale with beddings that seemed to have been from the 80s. The beds were worn and uncomfortable and the cleaniness was suspect. There was a old stain on... More

Dear KK, Thank you again for sharing your thoughts. Yes, the Main Inn rooms are dated, but they are traditional lodge rooms built in 1947 and are priced as so - we have many returning guests who like their " nostalgic" look and charm, perhaps you would have been more comfortable in one our many suites which were available to... This aging property, now under new ownership, is already at a high standard but has a way to go before being all that it could be. The staff is courteous, friendly and proficient. The location on Stoney Lake is wonderful and the lodge takes full advantage of it. Our room was very large. well-laid out and comfortable complete with screened... More

Hi Northern_Tourist, As always we are grateful to read guest comments. First, I want to clarify that the Inn is not under new ownership - The Irwin family, led by Dennis & Patti do still own the Inn and are involved quite literally with the day to day operations. As with any business, as owners the Irwin's along with our... More

When room service made up our room we had a very pleasant surprise. My son brought his stuffies and a blanket. The room service folks made a sleeping bag out of the blanket and had his stuffies sleeping there waiting for my son. I delight in customer service. Our room had free wifi and Apple TV, as well as a... More

The Irwin Inn came highly recommended by a family member and we decided to book a family getaway. Unfortunately, we were disappointed by the lack of attention to detail and sub standard accommodations for the price paid. Our fridge lacked a handle, our screen door did not open properly, the built in pool was not working due to a pump... More

TravelCanuck1 Regardless of the review, we certainly thank you for taking the time and elaborating on your experience. We certainly appreciate all comments and look at them as a way for us to improve. I was disappointed to hear of the maintenance issues with your cottage, I've already touched base with both our housekeeping department and maintenance department to try... More

We stayed with our 2 kids, ages 5 and 1, and our parents at this resort in July 2014. My husband and I have been many times for romantic getaways in the winter, but this was the first time we took the family and the first time in the summer. Pros: The location and nature is absolutely beautiful and breathtaking.... More

Hello LilaToronto; Thank you for taking the time and writing such a thorough review, we are so happy you enjoyed your stay and that your parents were able to join you for a few days and really appreciate some quality family time with their grandchildren. My boyfriend and I spent a wonderfully romantic weekend at the Inn a week ago. We stayed in the Lower East Spa suite and fully enjoyed the hot tub on the deck and the gloriously comfortable king-size bed. The room was rustic with a log-cabin feel, but had all the facilities we needed. We made a last-minute booking, but were... More

We went here for our 1st anniversary after we spent our honeymoon here. Loved the food. Loved the staff. Loved the room with the outdoor hot tub. We are making plans to come back at least once every two years. We found our winter getaway. LOVE IT!!

This is the second year in a row that our family has spent four nights in one of the lakeside cottages at Irwin Inn.
