The quality of food here is very good indeed . There is a wide range of dishes available on the specials board which is matched by a long list of very good standard choices . The twice baked soufflé with a side dish of perfectly cooked vegetables and complimented by hand cooked chips was a top choice . The starter... More

Stayed in the annexe at the rear of the hotel which provided the quietest nights sleep I have ever had in a hotel. Room was adequate with a modern TV. Bathroom was of a decent size with a good shower. Good bar/lounge holding a display of approx 650 whisky bottles. Cosy intimate restaurant which provided a substantial breakfast. Not a... More

Very friendly village pub type atmosphere, . Good value for money. We only stayed for 1 night and didn't have the opportunity to have dinner but the breakfast was excellent. This small hotel would be a whisky lovers dream with a collection of nearly 700 different bottles.

Yuck, we did not like staying here, the host was surly, the hotel was old and dumpy, the beds were terrible and very uncomfortable, it was difficult to find, and the only good thing was breakfast. We do not recommend staying here.

Stayed here for one night. The food was fantastic. Nice atmosphere in the pub and great breakfast. However I was suprised at how dated the rooms are. There was a strong smell of damp in the room, the shower thermostat would not adjust and the TV was tiny. The mattress springs were so uncomfortable that I woke up with a... More

I stayed for 3 nights B&B in August 2014. Overall the stay was good. Breakfasts are excellent with good local produce cooked to order with very good service. The pub itself is a real olde world pub with a great selection of ales and a selection of whiskies numbering more than 700. The evening bar meals are great value tasty... More

We have been dining at The George in Leadenham once or twice a year for over 8 years now whilst in the area. I now won't be returning. The service on this last visit was awful. We ordered food and after 40 minutes still hadn't been shown to our table in restaurant. It became apparent that someone else had instead.... More

Called in here for lunch on a long journey from Norfolk to Yorkshire. Used to come years ago and thought we'd try it again. Today the place lacks atmosphere, fixtures and fittings appear tired and the place looks generally run down. There appeared to be one staff member doing everything, from serving behind the bar, to taking food orders and... More

This hotel was such a disappointment, it could be fabulous but it´s not. I had misgivings from the beginning, as I walked into the hotel I saw a large shed with the door open full of grubby freezers, presumably the source of our food. Next to the shed was an extractor fan from the kitchen filthy with fat and grime... More
