We booked with Reggie's Camel Camp a couple of months in advance - they were very responsive to our emails and everything was well planned ahead of our arrival. On arrival from Jodhpur, it was a little tricky to find the camp itself, but after a quick call to the camp manager Bob we had a Jeep arrive to collect... More

You book relatively expensive properties believing that you shall have an unperturbed time for yourself, great location and not be bothered about hospitality as that's taken for but unfortunately Reggie's camp reminds you once again not to judge a book by its cover! Might sound pedantic but its location is nondescript with little or no signage for directions to reach,... More

Beautiful, sprawling property, but getting there was an experience in itself. Absolutely no sign posts. And when we eventually found a sign, it was so tiny that one needed binoculars to read it. Comfortable tent, well appointed, but, alas no heater in the tent. And we couldn't understand why we were provided with a cooling unit in the freezing winter... More

Apart from the land mass, they have nothing that a traveller expects. Basics like courtesy, service with a smile, comfort, receptivity or manners don't exist. Though, what was in abundance is attitude, rudenes, repeated attempt to fleece, sleepless nights , only cold water and greed. We have been fortunate enough to travel to many countries and stay in different kinds... More

We went to Jodhpur in the month of Aug2014. We were a mixed group of NRI & resident Indian tourists & were enchanted by the idea of exploring the desert on a camel. We were guided to Reggies Camel Camp, which was at the edge of the Thar Desert (Registhan). We reached there around 4pm..There were a reasonable number of... More

On the edge of the Thar Desert we were met at the main gate of the camp wall by a camel cart which took us the 500m to the reception area at the bottom of a large dune. Our progress was accompanied by drumming. The main buildings, which are plastered with a cow dung mixture, follow the slope of the... More

We stayed at the Reggie's Osian Camel Camp last month. (Indochina Tours) Our 1 night stay was amazing. Built to look like an old English hunting lodge. Only a handful of guests, so we were spoilt with personalised service. Our tent was under a thatched roof, air conditioner, a little undercover verandah and an ensuite. How's that for camping! We... November 2013 - on a gap year trip we were taken to this "resort" - camp. Fabulous experience. 1 night. Fun to ride camels into the sunset, back to camp at night, then watch traditional indian performance on the sand with bon fire. 5 Stars for very good management as well.

A great experience worth doing. The staff were excellent. We had lunch on arrival which consisted of rice, 2 veg curries and 1 chicken curry and roti. The tent accommodation was unusual but very comfortable with air conditioning which wasn't needed overnight as it cooled down. The back of the tent had a basic marble bathroom. We had a one... More

We stayed at Reggies Camel camp in Osian for 1 night as part of our Travel Indochina Highlights of Rajasthan Tour. Is it camping when you stay in tents that have their own bathrooms?? Another unique experience in Rajasthan, Reggies camel camp has different levels of tents to stay sort of out in the dessert in whilst still having all... More
