This hotel is a 20 minute train ride from downtown Stockholm and the train stops very close to the hotel. I is old and I know not as grand as in the past, but it is a Beautiful Old Hotel with the view of the Bay and many boats. Great walking trails around the area. Free breakfast and they give... More

This hotel has a majestic appearance modelled on some of those famous resorts on the French Riviera at the turn of the 20th Century. At some point it might have offered opulent accommodation but sadly it has now gone to seed. Our room was small and the bathroom would have provided a field-day for the "hotel inspector" - tiles were... More

We spent our 3rd honeymoon aniversiry there on August 1st this year. STAY OUT OF THIS HOTEL AND RESTAURANT. We tried to have our aniversary dinner at the hotels restaurant. It was an awful experience and I have complained on several occasions to hotel who is responsible for restaurant. Have nor get any reply. ANYONE THINKING OF SPENDING ANY TIME... More

Impressive hotel in nice location outside Stockholm. However, maintenance of the building has not been made in many years. Signs of decay everywhere, the hotel is about to become a ruin. Staff is hardly to be seen. Consequently, the bar was closed, no dinner could be obtained inside the hotel. The first evening dirty dishes on a dining room table,... More

Located 25 minutes by comuter train from Stockholm you would think the hotel is a bit of, but it is situated just by the station with good connections. The rooms are great, a mix of old and new and the hotel is lovely situated by the water with a couple of restaurants! The Spa is really nice and the breakfast... More

While the hotel itself is in a beautiful setting, I suspect that it saw its heyday many years ago. The outside of the hotel needs serious attention, as does the rooms themselves. Very dated in their appointment and, unfortunately, not in a good way. Beds are uncomfortable, pillows too small and the bathrooms needing a serious update. Staff aren't the... More

Once you get to this hotel it seems to life a tale... Marvellouse panorama. Nice building. You realise it once was one of the most fashionable hotels in that area. A little problem is 20 min. by train to the city center, but the trains are going until late night. For all who wants a relaxing holiday, this is a... More

Stayed two nights in this establishment. The place is very run down, at some places it´s dirty (cutlery and plates at breakfast especially), we had to sleep the first night on a bed that was rock hard and we felt every spring in it (no sleep that night - not a very great start for a holiday), the shower was... one night stay at this hotel with great view by the lake. its not worth the money at all! restaurant is avarage and terrible staff who do not care about guests. no background music made it worst. The Spa was too crowded I could not use nothing but the pool and it cost extra for guests to use spa. NO... More

We purchased a groupon deal for a one night stay inclusive of a 2 hour spa visit, a 3 course dinner and breakfast. The hotel is old and musty, room was chilly, light bulbs in room were broken and shower tubing was broken. While the manager and staff were friendly and accomodating. It did not make up for an overall... More
