For the summer we booked part of our trip to the north of Spain with Eliza was here. An independent organisation that specializes in European holidays of the beaten track. We chose Porta d'Alella for the quiet surroundings but close to Barcelona. We stayed for two weeks. The hotel is run by chef Brice and his wife Alix. We where... More

We have find it occasionally. Due to the chain of circumstances we have found ourselves in Alella with no place to stay for 2 nights and having a cat with us. So I've asked booking.com about hotels available for stay with the cat in Alella and got this one. We didn't care too much about the hotel, but it looked... More

from the busy city of Barcelona. The hotel is hard to find due to lack of street signs, so you will need GPS or Googlemap it like we did. You have to pull up to the hotel gate (everything is gated?) and call the reception to let you in. We checked into a charming room with a great view of... More

A very nice & quiet place, with clean, well furnished & spacious rooms. A very zen patio where you can chill out with a drink. 2 young directors, higly experienced and lovely. A delicious restaurant, where some of the recipies must be treasured (I won't say wich ones, it should remain a secret). A place to stay: the serenity a... More

Air conditioner doesn't work properly. It's hard to sleep in this area without a nice air conditioner. It is no understandable for a "Four Stars". The surroundings are great but the beaches at Masnou are not corresponding with high standard. Badalona has much better beach.

Stayed 3 nights in late May. Rooms were large and clean, bathrooms ok with surprisingly powerful over bath shower. Breakfast included fresh croissants. Pool area very basic but lovely covered terrace with pretty view. Very reasonably priced drinks. We didn't eat in as there is a large selection of restaurants nearby. Peaceful setting but rooms not brilliantly soundproof. You will... More

We used this hotel as it is near our family. The hotel is up in the mountains just outside Alella, a car is a necessity. Beautiful views from the rooms. There appeared to be renovations going on. Very quiet and peaceful. The restaurant is good and the breakfasts are good. Very clean. A good place for a romantic weekend away... More

A gem, hidden away in beautiful Alella, feels like you are miles away from anything, yet actually only 20 mins by quick train to central Barcelona. Great accommodation, friendly service, and excellent onsite restaurant.

We stayed for five nights in total comfort, the rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished with aircon. We were looked after to perfection, we were attending my nieces christening and stayed for our entire trip. The food for our function on the saturday was amazing hats off to the chef from a fellow chef, with a selection of canapes we... More
