We needed to stay in Chulmleigh village itself and so this was about the only option. I guess they know that because, for a pub, it is not cheap. The room itself was spacious and quite nice although lacking in surfaces to put things on. The bed was comfortable but sleep was spoilt be the fact that it is impossible... More

I am sorry to hear that we fell short on our housekeeping with toiletries and room servicing. I notice that the staff did make every effort to address your concerns and I very much hope that you will stay with us again should you be in the area. I have also noted your concerns regarding the blinds and this will... More

Lovely cosy inn, serving great pizza. Relaxed atmosphere and family friendly. Lots of choice, good beer and the local made us all feel at home. Visited twice in one week while staying in a nearby village - our kids favourite place during our holiday.

I was dismayed to read this review and would like to take this opportunity to address the issues raised. Chulmleigh Fair was founded in 1253 when King Henry III granted the town a Royal Charter. It starts on the Tuesday at 6.30pm and continues all week with lots of family fun activities for all the community and visitors to enjoy... More

Really lovely pub, very comfortable room, fantastic cooked breakfast and great value. We stayed for 2 nights during a very cold spell in April but our room was lovely and warm. Staff were very welcoming and the breakfast was served downstairs in the pub's restaurant area. Would highly recommend.
