We stayed here for two nights to break up a journey to Scotland. Hotel room was very clean and tidy, Bathroom was clean and not like some of the other reviews i have read. Ample storage, and Tea and Coffee making facilities are there, just look in the cupboard at the desk :) The breakfast was good with a good... More

We stayed here for 2 nights from 1st august - 3 august. The room was small but very clean and modern. We had the continental breakfast each morning which was very nice, our only slight criticism would be that there were some flies around the food which was all uncovered, I would suggest that they get something to cover the... We stayed here on our way up to watch the games in Scotland. I had trawled hotels carefully before we booked this as wanted something clean comfortable and value for money. Pulling into the hotel car park first impressions were great, lovely building, perfectly located close to grasmere and keswick. The check in was easy and efficient , the room... More

We stayed here on a Groupon deal which was basically half price - only done as a last minute thing and we were very impressed. Only 2 nights but that was fine for us Closer to the road than I imagined but it was very quiet so didn't bother us even as we were on the ground floor Main reason... More

Just recently stayed at the lodge and on approach the place looked great. Little off the beaten track and was surrounded by beautiful scenery and beautiful cows and livestock. Rooms were basic, but pleasant and could perhaps have tea and coffee facilities for night or bed service. The huge drawback and some other guests mentioned this also is the uncomfortable... More

Hey, it's a lodge and it's in a vale. Not really a hotel as such but for a cheap, good quality stop-over in the heart of the Lakes you can't go wrong. Rooms are basic, clean and functional. Some don't even have windows except for velux but no matter, it's all you need - especially if you arrive late and... More

We stayed here during June and it was really nice place. It is a newly built and the rooms were adequate. It is comfortably for couple but if you have children you need to check as it may be small. Everything was fine and this hotel is convenient if you are costing both south and north lakes. Breakfast isn't so... More

We stayed as a family group of 5 in 2 rooms (room 3 with window, room 10 with skylight). The hotel is conveniently located, with clean and modern rooms which were lovely and warm. The skylight was not a problem, but may not suit all. Check in was efficient. Breakfast: continental with reasonable range of items; dining room barely accommodates... More

Beautiful building set in beautiful country. Giving amazing views. Clean and modern design. Good rooms. Refreshing continental breakfast. Only downsides were bed was too firm for my liking and option for a full english breakfast would of been nice. Would defernetly recommend though and would defernetly think about staying again.
