Assuming you're staying for business I would advise to look elsewhere. Room was tired, bathroom was functional (just) and although outside temperature was cool the room was decidedly hot. Other guests complained of the same. Was hoping to use the restaurant only to find its Indian cuisine only. Staff ok but messed up my breakfast order even though they weren't... More

Stayed one night with work and thoroughly enjoyed it, friendly staff, big room on the top floor windows, heating, comfortable furniture and a good breakfast. Additionally you can enjoy the Jimi Hendrix experience as far as it goes - about as close as I will get to it anyway. The parking is remote from the hotel but hassle free and... More

Well what can I say, friendly staff, slightly odd people tend to frequent the bar. But you are better off jumping in the nearby stream to get clean! The shower was abysmal, even stopped at one point! Top floor rooms in an area as flat as a pancake need a pressure boost! Breakfast reasonable, staff helpful and rooms clean.

Good points: staff are friendly. Breakfast basic but acceptable . Bed surprisingly comfortable . Towels clean and fluffy. Bad stuff: everything else; parking a total mare, even the sat nav does not get you to it! For info the car park is not on Francis street, it's on Drapers Place! Room was stupidly hot and had humming sound all night... More

Basic rooms above a pub in a town centre location with no road access, which is difficult if your with young kids, elderly or loads of luggage. The parking was close but involved a long drive around the ring road - fortunately a staff member came with me to show me the way as I would never have found it!... More

What can i say I was unaware of the history surrounding this hotel. It was once host to the Legend that was Jimi Hendrix. For anyone who wants to walk in the footsteps of a legend Its a must stay place. However its far from a one trick pony. Not only do you get a very nice welcome and a... More

This is a perfectly OK pub and hotel. My room was clean, large, comfy bed, OK shower, nice and clean, big towels, tea making facilities, quiet at night ( it was a Sunday ) all the normal facilities. The surrounds and the carpets are a bit dark and dingy. Downstairs is a bit dark but the bar was warm and... More
