Absolutely perfect hideaway. We stayed 10 nights. This was our second time there and we will go back for sure. Bungalows are modern and clean. Beach is ok and infinity pool was great. Staff was very helpful - ask anything and you will get it! There is really nothing to complain about.

Plub Pla Koh Mak Retreat boasts an idyllic and tranquil location . First impressions are of tastefully designed bungalows nestling on white sand, overlooking clear blue sea. Walkways link the properties to the main building and to a beautiful infinity pool. Saucer size butterflies fly overhead. What is disappointing is that management doesn’t seem to comprehend the concept of “boutique hotel”... More

We stayed here for a week and managed to reserve the S1 villa which is just feet from the ocean and the closest. The bay is stunning and when you open you bi-folding doors, the view is breath taking. The furniture is tasteful and very comfortable. The staff are helpful, speak good English, and can't seem to do enough, they even... More

We stayed in the beach front vilas with the jacuzzi on the veranda. The rooms are spacious and have a nice and fresh style . You get options of both outside and indoor shower. The veranda is really nice place to relax and enjoy the evening . The whole hotel area is very nice, pool, garden , restaurant etc ,... More

Beautiful resort BUT: The shower in our beachfront room (most expensive rooms) - cold water. Informed by hotel we could change rooms or we could leave if we did not want to change rooms as a new geyser would take days to arrive on the island. We then were told that they would give us a 10% discount. 4 days... More

We stayed for a week at the end of the monsoon season and had the place almost to ourselves! The bungalow was clean and tidy, the staff were very polite and helpful and the food and drink in the restaurant was of a really high standard - especially the local seafood. We'd probably not go for a jacuzzi bungalow if... More

A beautiful perfect isolated hotel on an isolated island. The location is beautiful, rooms are large, clean and modern. Loved the extra outdoor shower. The pool is beautiful and big enough for a swim. We also had a really powerful Thai massage. We rented a scooter from the reception and travelled around - mobility is a must. The beach isn't... Rooms - all the same and all beautiful. No bad room is possible. Even the 3rd row back - cheaper and divine. Pool - beautiful. restaurant - open air and next to sea. Food is wonderful and so affordable. Service - lovely. Not overly gregarious. courteous and polite. Water - there isn't much of a beach but that is probably... More

The hotel does not live up to the presentation shown on its website. This is quite common in Thailand where a couple of seasons of hot sunshine and sea weather can turn a sparkling new compound into quite a drab looking one. We went in August which is off-season so fortunately the hotel was not busy. The pool and surrounding... More
