Well, after reading the good reviews here my partner and I decided to give it a go. I will try and be brief: If you are a couple or seek tranquility, DO NOT come here. Kids screaming everywhere at all hours, it's worse than a kindergarten. There is NO wifi INternet in any of the bungalows, but this is a... More

I was really looking forward to getting to Ko Mak after a few days on Ko Chang and from the minute we climbed into the pick up taxi I had a massive smile on my face. The island is not big so for either of the boat drop offs it is only 10 minutes to Ao Kao. It's such a... More

We stayed for 5 nights in the Lanna bungalows and throughly enjoyed our stay. We had been to Ko Mak 10 yrs ago and was pleseantly surprised at how little it had changed, all of the changes were for the better. We were lucky enough to discover the Ao Kao White Sands Resort after staying 2 nights on the other... More

We stayed at Ao Kao for 3 of the 6 nights we spent on Koh Mak and loved it. The beach is gorgeous (no rubbish in sight and who needs a pool when the water is this inviting), the bungalow huge, decorated well and very comfortable and the staff lovely. Thoroughly enjoyed our time, what more would you want?? More

We came over to Koh Mak for just one night from Koh Chang and really loved the place. The manager mr Chain was extremely helpful and set up some extra beds in the rooms and wished us warmly welcome even though we made the reservation just the previous evening before our arrival. We stayed at a fairly big hut called... More

I stayed the first week in May together with my spouse and adult daugther at AoKao. We enjoyed our stay at this place very much ! The bungalows, at least the ones we stayed in (Ayuthaya) where large, confortable and bright - not luxuary but relaxing. The large balcony is fronting to the sea site and bigh enough to follow... Went here based on the other reviews, really not sure how they can be so positive. The beach is pretty but that's what Thai islands are meant to be like. Everything very tired, its like someone has stopped caring as you can see that once it probably was really nice. The beach has broken sun loungers, no cushions, very uncomfortable,... More

Was here before in 2004. End 2010 everything looked even better. Ao Kao Resort had a nice upgrade. Huts are spacious including enormous bathrooms. We only paid 1200 THB since we did not use the airco. Breakfeast (great buffet with proper espresso, fresh pressed orange juice, hot and cold dishes) is included. The view and the bay are spectacular. Although... More

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Ao Kao Resort. It's such a beautiful place with white sand beach, and we didn't have any bite from sandflies there. The beach was taken care of so well and they used Menthol to get rid of the sandflies. The staff was friendly and did their best to make our stay... More
