Hotel has a beautiful location, walking distance away from restaurants (plenty) and you have a great view at breakfast ! We had rooms in the new wing and you could tell they were just re-done - very nice rooms and very quiet. With a breakfast room overlooking the harbour of Granville, this hotel is a great base for exploring the Normandie area. We found the english spoken staff in the reception very freindly and helpful. Hotel is exactly as expected, but parking is difficult if you do not have a small car, low ceiling so had to park in road some way from hotel. Bathroom was good and tea and coffee in room. Only one chair in double room, but not really a problem for short stay.

Mercure is a trustable brand for quality hotels. Granville follow the rules. Comfortable, very good position, coffee machine in room - amenities too. The room are very clean and the the design of the room is the best I ever had in a hotel. Excellent seashore view. Very nice town in general. Almost nothing to complain about (except for the non-included parking, although proposed for a small fee).

Our family room was great, duplex with 3 different areas with beds, 2 LCD screens and a beautiful sea view. Very good breakfast with excellent sea view, newspapers and wide choice of food and beverages. Prices correct for the quality, sea view was more expensive. Hotel has no restaurant and has a parking more suitable for small cars.
