We booked this after careful research in various brochures and whilst we travelled with Thomas Cook the Anatolian Sky brochure best describes it. Somehow we were booked into a "bungalow" which is better described as a posh garden shed although it had a sea view and was situated within the wood. It was a little dark however and after 3... more

We have just returned from a great 10 day break staying at this lovely hotel. After spending ages searching for a quiet location, a way from night clubs and hords of high rise hotels we found the Yucelen Hotel on line. The staff were very helpful, the hotel clean, rooms pleasant and cleaned daily. For us it was great to... more

We stayed at the Yucelen hotel for a week and had a lovely time. Clean with well-appointed rooms and a large pool, plus its own private stretch of beach with free sun loungers, this was the best hotel in Akyaka. It is also away from the river which means mosquitoes are not as problematic as in other areas. The breakfast... more

A very quiet resort, but the stray dogs are a bit of a nusiance.Pity they do not read the notices banning them from the beach! The hotel is definitely to be recommended for a relaxing holiday.Efficient ,pleasant and efficient staff.Faulty electric kettle replaced within the hour and a soap dispenser re-glued in the shower within 20 mins. The apartment was kept as... more

We spent two great weeks at the Yucelen and enjoyed everything it had to offer. The hotel is in a quiet location and is clean and very well kept. We only had breakfast at the Yucelen as we like to try different restaurants - and boy there are plenty ! You can walk everywhere and it is a lovely environment... more

I am not sure how people can realistically complain as one of the reviewers did about a crowded hotel and swimming pooleetc in August. This is high season so what else would you expect? This was my second visit to this location and I was not disappointed again on accomogatioin, surroundings, food or service. This is a beautiful part of... more

used trip adviser to actually book this hotel. What a mistake!!! Having spent an active week in beautiful quiet family run Dalyan area of Turkey we were in disbelief to explore the Yucelen .We had gone to play tennis. The courts were situated in a different location to the original site (to allow more rooms to be built) beyond a... more

Review in a sentence: This is probably the best hotel we have stayed in, and we didn't want to leave. It's clean, well-run, low-key and right next to the beach. We travelled with Anatolian Sky and stayed two weeks in the hotel proper on B&B. Akyaka is about one hour's transfer from Dalaman Airport, and as you arrive in the... more

I found the Yucelen was set in a truly beautiful location with a mountainous backdrop in a quaint, very 'Turkish' village unspoilt by British Bars and hooligans. Proximity to shops, beach etc is excellent - less than 5 minutes to everything. The grounds are beautiful as long as you stay in the main block. Cross the road to the Gencel... more

Sent a newly married couple there as a present, they enjoyed the initial part of the stay but caught food poisoning from the Yucelen BBQ in week two and neither the Yucelen or Anatolian Sky (the tour operator) were even slightly interested in doing anything about it, nor was an apology or compensation offered. The couple were ill for days... more
