Here we were - a travel weary group in need of a warm comfortable place to sleep - and we found it. If you want luxury, 5 star accommodation with all the trimmings, then this place is not for you. If however, like us, all you need is a warm cosy, quiet place to doss down for the night, then... More

We were quoted a price when booking, the charged $30 more for our stay. It was an extremely quiet time of year and the management made us feel like it was an inconvenience to have our business. We were a large group and had to request to have the heating left on through the freezing nights (we had a number... More

We had a powered camping site for two nights and while there were plenty of people staying at the time, we still had a big choice of campsites and chose a very peaceful site surrounded by trees but still handy to all the amenities. On site store which also doubles as a takeaway bar and model car enthusiasts will be... More

We stayed in a tent here, and had a good choice of where we could go. We got a friendly welcome. It is getting pretty dated - the seats in the TV rooms are circa 1970 I would say. There is a small supermarket 10-15 mins walk away. Showers were nice and hot. It was clean, but I got the... More

Our family are staying at Labour weekend. The Park has other families staying and the kids are all having a ball. Think we'll come back at Christmas time if there is room as I believe it is pretty much booked out over the New Year period according to people we talked to.. Looked all over the Park and could not... More

This worn down and outdated camp ground is really not a nice place to stay! Amenities are old and outdated, although they do have a fresh coat of paint. A classic example of owners who think they can rip off their customers by litterally letting them camp on a huge piece of land, and do nothing to make their stay... More

We arrived in the dark, so it was a bit hard to negotiate were to park as we stayed the night at a powered site and there was over 400 of them to choose from. We were able to use all of the parks facilities, however they were a bit spooky at night. The communal bathrooms & kitchen block we... More

Neither camping in Alexandra has much to offer, but this is needlessly overpriced for scant, dirty, and dated facilities along a noisy section of highway. From the asking price, you'd expect top of the line.. from the reception area it's hard to tell just how bad these facilities really are. - Bathrooms are similar to those found in domain campsites,... We went in this camping twice time (one week between both). All the time the welcomes was very rude and unpleasant! Mostly by owners! Kitchens haven't equipments (except gaz cooker, wicrowave and toaster. Nothing more! No plates, pans, pots, knifes, forks, spoons...) There no sink in toilet room! In schower room, yes, but without soap! Showers are badly made: you... More

I can not comment on other than the self contained units. But yes, I do agree as below, this is one of those family holiday parks, where the proprietors are not aware of modern standards of service. Now the self contained cabins give plenty of space, and unlike motels, plenty of facilities. Ther will be an oven, utensils and crockery,... More
