A cute little place on the hill above town with breakfast. I had a room right off the lobby and every night had to tell the staff to quiet down so I could sleep. Otherwise good for inexpensive accommodations. Fun little patio to enjoy a happy hour drink.

The hotel staff were pleasant and accommodating but the hotel is not one we would stay at again. We stayed as part of G adventures tour (group of 8 with CEO) so I cannot speak about cost or value. The hotel is a trek into town, so if you are into walking it's perfect. We stayed in their 4 unit... More

This hotel is off the beaten track in a quiet little area in monteverde, not great if you want the busier town centre but you could walk if you don't mind a few hills! Our room was beautifully decorated and had terrace out the front which was a sun trap in the evening to sit and relax. The staff were... More

Stayed here as part of a tour group. The hotel is located very far from town and as it is quite steep and hilly you can't walk anywhere so it's taxis to everywhere. It's quite a beautiful hotel with a great patio where a few hammocks hang- you can definitely enjoy your time there and just relax- the hotel will... More

When we first arrived at the Hotel Jardines de Monteverde we were given a room just on the outside of the hotel. The room was very damp and did not reach the wifi. My husband did need to do some work using the internet. We asked at the front if we could get a different room. To our surprise they... More

This hotel is a glorious slice of heavenly goodness. The owners and employees are the salt of the earth (that means they're great if you don't know what that expression means) and incredibly welcoming to students and scholars of all types. Trofimov would truly feel quite welcome here (Trofimov, 'the eternal student' is a character from Chekhov's "The Cherry Orchard).... More

This hotel has such a beautiful patio with hammocks and a lovely outdoor seating area; you're surrounded by gorgeous plants and flowers and paintings of Costa Rica's wildlife. It's a really nice and quiet hotel that takes you away from all the noise of the city. The staff is super nice and accommodating, I definitely recommend this hotel.

The staff were extremely nice and generous. Very nice atmosphere with wonderful food and drink available. Very amiable toward students. Not crowded. Centrally located and very easy to find many things to do! A truly beautiful building.

Like many local inns, there is a story behind. Most locals had to figure out ways to change their lifestyles from being farmers and enter in a world they do not know much about, tourism. Their homes became lodges, hotels, inns, hostels and much more. The owners of this beautiful, cozy and honest establishment are one of the local families.... More

My daughter was on a Costa Rica tour with EF Tours. First off don't purchase the insurance through them, EFEKTA INSURANCE, doesn't help with stolen property. This "hotel" is a family owned sort of bed and breakfast place, the kids checked in and walked down the order to get pizza, gone only half hour they came back to their money... More
