We visited Monteverde twice to attend CPI language school. I choose this place the second time because it was in a different part of Monteverde and offered more privacy for a two week stay. Not only was the the cabana spotless, the garden was beautiful and the staff fantastic. They arranged taxi service for us to CPI campus when we... More

During our trip through Costa Rica we had the honour of staying with Reina and her husband during 2 days. The welcome we had when we arrived was super, Reina makes you feel home in a single second. We had made reservations for 2 houses and they where both spotless, the plantation was impressive and nice to see. The breakfast... More

Who wouldn't want to stay in a place managed by a warm family, on 5 hectares of land that produces 90% of what you are having for breakfast? They have their own cows, coffee beans, mangoes, and plantains to name a few. It's quite to sleep, and each unit has a second story to enjoy the view. Go!

My girl friend and I stayed for 3 nights during April and found Reina to be a superb host. Her fast replies during the booking process, the tasty breakfasts, her helpful planning of our day trips out and the general welcoming sense. The cabins are well equipped, very clean, excellent value for money and great for nature watching - we... More

Wonderful place to stay. It was very quiet and relaxing. The family was so helpful with suggestions of things to do and where to eat. Breakfasts there are so good. Almost. All of. The food we had at Cabanas Valle Campanas comes right from their farm. Will definitely go back there.

Our favorite place during our trip to Costa Rica. The setting is a bit outside downtown Santa Elena, and situation on Reina/Leo's farm. But it a complete retreat from the touristy souvenir shops/restaurants/hotels downtown. The cabins have scenic views from the balconies of nature and a myriad of gorgeous birds. We could have spent several weeks just relaxing on the... More

My girlfriends and I stayed in Cabanas Valle Campanas for three nights. The cabin we stayed in (El Mono) was spacious and comfortable. It is located the furthest from every other cabin so we had a lot of privacy, and we (as four females) never felt unsafe. Reina is an AWESOME host. She helped us daily in planning our activities,... Our family of 6 had a great time in the 2 bedroom cabin. The cabin was clean, secluded and surrounded by tropical beauty. Reina was accomdating, easy to work with, had great recommendations for day trips, and has a beautiful plantation. She gladly took our kids (7 & 8) to help milk the cow, harvest sugar cane and feed her... More

All reviews on this site are already very good but we would like to add our voice. Definitively a must if you are looking for a clean and quiet place with a local flavour in the area. Our 2 levels bungalow in a charming environment also had a very nice view - perfect for a couple. There was also another... More
