My wife and I, along with our seven your old son, spent two wonderful weeks in Costa Rica. Most of it was on the beach, not enough of it was in Arenal and Monteverde. Monetverde was truely the highlight of our trip, and much of this was thanks to Reina and Leo, our wonderful hosts who were amzaing, gracious, generous... More

This is a wonderful place to stay. Clean, comfortable and you get a true Costa Rica Tico experience. Reina, property owner, is so sweet and welcoming. She helped us arrange a night walk, frog pond tour, and her AMAZING breakfast each morning was to die for. She pressed fresh sugar cane juice for us to try. And while we packed... More

The Monteverde/Santa Elena area can feel rather crowded and touristy for such an out-of-the-way place, so we were happy to have found this place, just outside of the bustle of the main town. We stayed one night here during our honeymoon trip and Reina couldn't have been more warm or accommodating. The drive to Valle Campanas is a bit bumpy... More

Perfect for a complete independent stay. The kitchen offers everything to cook your own meals but the breakfast provided by the owners is also a must. Cabinas have a lot of space and are very private wit a big private garden. Owners are very kind and helpfull in searching for activities and other things. More

Reina and Leo are the definition of hospitable. Their breakfast was fantastic and showed off their home grown products (plantain, milk, coffee, eggs, sugarcane). The cabins were spotless, private, and comfortable. Reina was very helpful in setting up a guide off the beaten path for us and we successfully saw 3 Resplendent Quetzals. We also enjoyed seeing a Toucanette outside... More

Hello fellow travellers! I imagine that many of you, like me, base your decisions on where to stay by reading these reviews. I usually do not write these sorts of reviews, despite the fact that I have travelled extensively, but I after staying with Leo, Reina, Joshua and Nazareth, at the Valle Campanas, I am very motivated to speak their... This place was by far our favorite during our whole trip! The owners, Reina and Leo, are the nicest people you will meet while traveling (probably in your life). Reina is very knowledgeable and always goes beyond to help you (i.e. recommending and booking tours). Leo offers a most reliable and safe taxi service. Our cabin was spotless, well designed,... More

We stayed at Valle Campanas 2 nights end of December 2011 and we had a very good time. The casita was very convenient for us and our baby. And the owner Reina is so nice! We enjoyed walking around in the banana plantation. We would have liked to stay longer! More

Cabanas Valle Campanas was the 3rd place we stayed in during our 3 weeks trip in Costa Rica, travelling with our 2 boys (4 and 6 years old). Perfect place for a family!! 1.- Great space: La Cabina El Bobo is spaceous, with 2 bedrooms, but the surroundings are perfect for the kids to play outside. Even a nice trail... More

We stayed in the "El Boo" cabin, which is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath, with kitchen. We stayed in similar places in Arenal and Manuel Antonio and we all agreed that this place was our favorite. The reasons are as follows: 1) Charming cabin - it was clean, spacious and functional. 2) Great Service - the owner, Reina, recommended and... More
